Pro Bono Dispute Resolution For a Not-For-Profit Corporation
We obtained a temporary restraining order on behalf of a Not-For-Profit Corporation preventing a landlord from removing a curtain painted by a world-renowned artist owned by the Not-For-Profit without its permission and consent. The curtain was hanging in a landmarked restaurant and the landlord sought its removal at 3:00 AM on a Sunday to avoid impacting the restaurant’s Sunday brunch schedule. After obtaining the temporary restraining order and defeating the Landlord’s motion to dismiss, we negotiated an agreement with the landlord in which the landlord agreed to pay for the properly supervised removal of the curtain and the performance of restoration work on the curtain.
