Litigated a Series of Suits in the Construction of a High-Rise Condominium in San Francisco
We successfully represented several design professionals with respect to a claim relating to the settling of a high-rise condominium tower in San Francisco in one of the most visible construction disputes in the United States. This is the most expensive and tallest condominium on the West Coast. The lawsuit involves complex seismic, static, and general building integrity issues. At one point, there were twenty-one pending actions including several class-action suits.
In a related but separate action, we also successfully represented several design professionals with respect to claims relating to the exterior walls and windows of this glass, concrete, and steel 60-story building. We also successfully defended claims in excess of tens of millions of dollars related to the design and construction of the basement and foundation walls under the building.
