Compensation for Extensive Damage to a Landmarked Building
We obtained compensation for our client, a plaintiff property owner of a landmarked, mixed-use building in SoHo, New York City in a lawsuit against the neighboring property owner and its design professionals and contractors. The defendant's defective design and construction resulted in extensive damages to the facade and party (adjoining) wall of our client's building requiring the client to vacate the commercial and residential spaces in the building. Our client was also required to perform extensive structural repairs to the building. This is an example of one of the many cases we have handled that called upon our extensive experience navigating the laws governing adjoining properties.
