James Rowland Presenting Seminar on Risk Management to Society of American Registered Architects
Zetlin & De Chiara Principal James Rowland will be speaking at a program hosted by a new chapter of the Society of American Registered Architects (SARA), the Delaware & Hudson Valley Chapter, on January 28, 2014.
James will provide a continuing education course that will cover contract issues, risk management, document retention and protective measures for architecture firms. Consistent with its motto of “Architects Helping Architects”, SARA provides licensed architects an opportunity to unite as a common voice to work together for the betterment of the profession. Recently formed under SARA NY, the SARA Delaware & Hudson Valley Chapter seeks to provide architects from Northern Metropolitan New York a local forum to share information and ideas.
James Rowland, a Principal of Zetlin & De Chiara, serves as General Counsel to SARA’s New York Council and the American Institute of Architects, Staten Island. With more than 15 years of litigation experience, James represents clients in complex commercial and construction litigation matters, including the resolution of claims through trial, mediation and arbitration. He drafts construction contracts for owners and design professionals and advises clients on business-related matters, professional licensing, insurance issues and risk management. James represents architects, engineers, contractors, owners, developers, and construction managers in all aspects of the construction process, and he has appeared in New York State and Federal Court.
