Zetlin & De Chiara Senior Partner Michael Zetlin to Speak at the May 13th Event Hosted by the Steven L. Newman Real Estate Institute

On Tuesday, May 13th from 8:00am-3:00pm New York’s asset management leaders and the professionals who support them will gather for the inaugural ISO 55000 Conference for the U.S. The conference will bring together real estate and infrastructure asset management experts at Baruch College’s William and Anita Newman Conference Center to discuss how the ISO 55000 has changed the understanding of asset management and broadened the array of activities associated with the field.

This two-part program, hosted the Steven L. Newman Real Estate Institute in association with the Institute of Asset Management and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, will allow asset managers at all levels, and especially those in the real estate and infrastructure sectors, to learn more about the new ISO 55000 standard and understand how the changes are being applied in order to take advantage of the opportunities they offer.

Part one of the program begins with a brief introduction by Jack S. Nyman, Executive Director of the Steven L. Newman Real Estate Institute, followed by presentations from Keith Hamer, Senior Vice President of Asset Management at Sodexo UK, Thomas W. Smith, Program Director of the University of Wisconsin-Madison Department of Engineering, Scott Morris, Director of Global Engineering at the Genzyme Corporation, and Thomas F. Prendergast, Chairman & CEO of MTA New York City Transit. After the presentations there will be an expert panel discussion, moderated by Michael A. Salvato, Executive Program Manager of Enterprise Asset Management, focusing on the industry implications of the ISO 55000. The panelists include Linda Aronson, Managing Director of JLL, Terry D. Bennett, Senior Industry Program Manager of Autodesk, Inc., Nancy Johnson, Senior Program Manager of the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, and Michael S. Zetlin, Senior Partner of Zetlin & De Chiara LLP.

The second portion of the program, which begins at 1:30pm, consists of Special Industry Breakout Sessions in the following fields:

  • Government – Federal Buildings (GSA)
  • Infrastructure (Transportation)
  • Institutions (Education)
  • Commercial Real Estate
