A peer review can be an important tool in assisting owners and design professionals to complete construction projects on time and on budget, while limiting the number of requests for information and change orders seen on a project. Typically, a peer review is performed by an independent design firm with expertise in a particular discipline to identify errors or omissions in a design or to remedy a troublesome detail or component of the design.1 With the growing number of complex construction projects in the United States, the number of peer reviews being performed on construction projects continues to increase.
