Overview
James G. Papadakis focuses his practice on construction, insurance, and property law. The matters he handles involve complex business disputes involving breach of contract, extra work and construction defects, insurance, as well as collections work involving mechanic's liens and payment bonds.
Mr. Papadakis represents construction industry members in construction contract procurements, disputes, litigation, claims, and project failures in state and federal trial courts, and proceedings before arbitration and mediation tribunals.
Prior to practicing law, he worked in the management solutions group at Zurich North America where he underwrote Directors & Officers (D&O) liability insurance for large-cap publicly traded companies.
While in law school, Mr. Papadakis clerked at the International Chamber of Commerce, International Court of Arbitration ("ICC Court of Arbitration") and served as a judicial extern to Magistrate Michael A. Shipp in the US District Court for the District of New Jersey.
Mr. Papadakis has been named to The Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch list for Construction Law and in New York.
